On Display For Constitution Day at the UD Library

We had puzzles, explanations of Constitution Day and Citizenship Day, and Pocket Constitutions to give away.

On Display

In Cold War Washington, the Declaration, the Constitution, and the Bill of Rights were on display on the exhibit floor of National Archives during the day. At night, the cases were lowered into a safe under the floor.

Not on Display

During the time the documents were displayed at National Archives and stored at night in the Mosler vault, pages 2 and 3 of the Constitution were never displayed.
