University of Delaware Library Distance Learning Services

University of Delaware students, faculty, and staff have remote access to Library resources and services. With the proper connection, undergraduate and graduate distance learning students as well as students in the Associate in Arts Program (which includes students formerly in the Parallel Program) may access library resources such as Library databases, electronic journals and newspapers, research guides, and DELCAT Discovery, the Library’s online catalog and discovery service.

The Library also provides online research assistance through services such as AskRef Live!, an interactive, chat-based reference service, AskRef IM, the library's instant messaging service, and AskRef, the Library’s e-mail reference service.

Students in remote locations may also access assigned class readings and other research material through the Library’s Electronic Reserves Services. UD Faculty teaching at the Delaware Technical & Community College Campus may arrange to obtain UD Library reserve materials and UD Library media materials for classes.

Questions about services and/or resources accessible outside the Library may be addressed to Sarah Katz at  (302) 831-6306 or  The University of Delaware Library extends a warm welcome to all of its users.
