- Figshare A repository where users can make all of their research outputs available in a citable, shareable and discoverable manner.
- Google Dataset Search A Google search engine for datasets.
- Google Public Data Explorer Free large data sets that are easy to explore, visualize and communicate.
- Harvard Dataverse Repository A free data repository open to all researchers from any discipline, both inside and outside of the Harvard community, where you can share, archive, cite, access, and explore research data.
- Kaggle Kaggle is a subsidiary of Google where users can find and publish data sets.
- OpenAlex An open index of scholarly articles, authors, institutions, and more, designed to facilitate research and discovery.
- Open Science Framework (OSF) An open source project management platform that many researchers use as a long-term data repository.
- ResearchDataGov While not open access, ResearchDataGov does make it easier to access protected data sets. ResearchDataGov is a web portal for discovering and requesting access to restricted microdata from federal statistical agencies.
- Zenodo A multi-disciplinary open repository maintained by CERN, the European Organization for Nuclear Research.
