ENGL110 - ELI

Overview of Library Services

ELI students can use all of the library's resources and services.

  • Access books, articles, and other sources: You can explore our digital and print resources through DELCAT and databases. If we don't have a source you need, you can request it through Interlibrary Loan. Check out print materials at the Help Center using your student ID.
  • Use multimedia software, borrow equipment, and get help with projects: Explore resources available through the Student Multimedia Design Center. Find guides for getting started with video, podcast, or graphic design projects.
  • Find films: Find streaming video and DVDs through the Film & Video Collection
  • Get help with research: Use Ask the Library (chat, text, or email) to get help from a UD Librarian.

How to Print

ELI students can print in Morris Library using a Copy Card.

  1. Purchase a Copy Card at the machine near the Help Center on the first floor of Morris Library and add money. You can only use cash to purchase cards. Printing costs 4 cents for double-sided black and white (default), 5 cents for single-sided black and white, and 25 cents for color.
  2. Use any desktop computer in the library to print. Your username and password are the six-digit code on the back of your Copy Card.
  3. Swipe your card at any release station to get your print job.
  4. Staff at the Help Center can help you with any step in the process. Watch a video with an overview of the print process here

How to Access Databases Off Campus

When you are on campus, you will be able to access databases automatically. When you are off campus, you will be prompted to login through CAS (just like your UD email). If you try the CAS login and it does not work, use the following steps to get off-campus access.

  • Email the ELI library liaison, Lauren Wallis, to request off campus access. Lauren will email you back to confirm receipt of your message.
  • After 24 business hours, try accessing a database off campus again. If it still does not work, contact Lauren again.

Note: Check your off campus access early in your time at UD so you have it when you need it! If you have time-sensitive research to do and cannot wait 24 hours for access, make a visit to campus and save the articles you find.
