Your research process isn't limited to searching in databases. It is likely that you will identify articles relevant to your topic as you do your reading. Learn how to search for these resources using the citations in your reading materials.

The citation must identify the article's authors, its title, and the details of its published location. The recommended format is one common to many scientific journals (including those published by the American Chemical Society):

FORMAT: Author 1; Author 2; Author 3 etc. Article Title. Journal Abbreviation, Year, Volume, Inclusive pagination.
EXAMPLE: Vermeulen, C.; Lejeune, I.; Tran, T.T.H.; Collin, S. Occurrence of Polyfunctional Thiols in Fresh Lager Beers. J. Agric. Food Chem., 2006, 54, 5061-5068. DOI: 10.1021/jf060669a
