Exploring Environments: A Self-Guided Library and Museums Experience

Program Details

Students can complete Exploring Environments in-person or virtually. Students will:

  • Learn how the Library and Museums can help them succeed throughout their time at UD
  • Examine unique cultural artifacts, including artwork, historical texts, and films
  • Reflect on issues discussed in Under a White Sky: The Nature of the Future by Elizabeth Kolbert

Additional Information

  • The program is open to all first-year students. It may be assigned as part of the First Year Seminar course.
  • The in-person track is open from September 7 - October 28, 2021. Students begin at Mechanical Hall Gallery and end at Morris Library.
  • The virtual track is open from September 1 through the end of Summer 2022. Students can complete it anywhere with an internet-connected device. 
  • Students learn about resources from Special Collections and Museums, the Film and Video Collection, and the Student Multimedia Design Center
