Part B: Biochemical and Molecular Biology (CBPB), focuses on biochemical physiology, primarily bioenergetics/energy metabolism, cell biology, cellular stress responses, enzymology, intermediary metabolism, macromolecular structure and function, gene regulation, evolutionary genetics. Most studies focus on biochemical or molecular analyses that have clear ramifications for physiological processes.
Publishes papers on all aspects of freshwater ecology, including rivers and lakes (fresh or saline), connected groundwaters, springs, floodplains, rockpools, intermittent and ephemeral streams and wetlands. We publish studies of micro-organisms, algae, macrophytes, invertebrates, fish and other vertebrates, as well as those concerning whole systems and related physical and chemical aspects of the environment.
Publishes articles that advance understanding and environmental stewardship of all types of inland aquatic ecosystems (lakes, rivers, streams, reservoirs, subterranean, and estuaries) and ecosystems at the interface between aquatic and terrestrial habitats (wetlands, riparian areas, and floodplains).
Aims to publish papers that advance our understanding of plant biology. Original research should provide new information on fundamental processes or mechanisms including those underpinning the improvement of plants for the sustainable production of food, fuel and renewable materials.
