AI Research Assistant Pilot
The AI Research Assistant is a generative AI-powered tool that enables users to query academic content in natural language and utilizes select UD Library resources to pinpoint five articles that can aid in answering your question.
As of this writing, the content that can be accessed by the AI Research Assistant does not include all of the resources that are discoverable through a regular DELCAT search. For example:
- the Library’s physical resources;
- books or articles hosted on the JSTOR platform; and
- newspapers
are not included in the Research Assistant’s recommendations.
The large-language model utilized by the AI Research Pilot has content moderation restrictions in place that may result in error messages with limited or no results when questions involve sensitive topics such as sexuality or violence. The Library does not have control over which topics are considered sensitive by this chatbot. If your search results in an error message, please contact Ask the Library.
The trial period for the AI Research Assistant will last through fall semester 2025.
