Senior Theses

Senior theses (Undergraduate Research Program)

Beginning May 2009, senior theses are submitted digitally.

Contact University Archives to request a thesis. The Thesis Collection is stored off-site; allow at least one working day for retrieval.

Tip:

If you know the exact title of the thesis, put quotes around the title.

Dissertations and Theses

In Library resources, the words "theses" or "thesis" used alone includes both doctoral dissertations and master's theses.

Borrowing / Purchasing Non-UD Dissertations and Theses

The University of Delaware Library does not often have theses from other institutions, but check DELCAT Discovery to be sure.

Borrowing

Some theses may be borrowed through Interlibrary Loan. Check these resources to obtain the correct information to fill out an ILL request form:

  • Dissertations & Theses (ProQuest)
    This database has citations and / or abstracts for international doctoral dissertations and masters theses. The database is strongest in theses from the United States and Canada. Coverage is 1861 to present.

  • DELCAT Discovery

Purchasing Non-UD Theses

Theses not available through Interlibrary Loan can be purchased from the ProQuest company.

Recommend That the Library Purchase the Thesis

Contact the Subject Librarian for the Department or Discipline. Or contact the librarian listed as “General Collection.”
