The Arts in Special Collections

The University of Delaware Library's collection encompasses all periods and styles of fine, decorative, and applied arts. It is particularly strong in works on painting technique and instruction, the decorative arts of the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries, architecture, and the book arts. The collection encompasses a wide range of genres and formats and includes first and early editions, manuscript and archival collections, broadsides, visual materials, ephemera, and sound recordings.
