The Research Data Steering Group (RDSG) was formed in 2020 as a concerted effort by the Research Office, Campus IT, and the Library, Museums and Press to improve research data support across the University of Delaware. RDSG personnel can provide guidance for researchers about the collection, description, storage, sharing, and preservation of research data.
Members of the group work one-on-one with researchers and are also available to provide workshops for new faculty and graduate cohorts. You can learn more about the group's areas of expertise and their contact information by visiting https://library.udel.edu/rdsg/about/ .
The UDSpace Institutional Repository collects and disseminates research material from the University of Delaware. It is an option if you are looking to comply with open access grant requirements, would like your research to be findable on the open web, or post departmental working papers and other research materials. UDSpace also houses doctoral dissertations and master's theses. You can learn more and access the repository at https://udspace.udel.edu/home.
UD librarians are available to answer basic copyright questions regarding the use and re-use of materials in the classroom, on Canvas, and in publications. They can frequently provide options that will mitigate copyright concerns. Contact your librarian with questions. It must be noted that their help cannot be construed as legal advice and they will refer when necessary.
Librarians are also available to work with researchers on finding and assessing journals for publication including ensuring that grant requirements for open access can be met, in addition to providing workshops about publishing for your graduate students.
The University of Delaware is an authorized Patent and Trademark Resource Center. Please contact Health Sciences librarian Sarah Katz at sekatz@udel.edu for more information.
