How to Share Library Resources

Course Guides

If you want to connect your students to the library through a course or subject guide, follow these instructions to add course guides as a module, page, or rich text box in your Canvas course or contact your subject librarian for assistance.

Linking to Electronic Resources

If you are sharing specific electronic resources in your course or syllabus, we recommend the use of DELCAT permalinks. A permalink is a permanent link, stable URL, or web address that will consistently point to a specific online information resource. It is less susceptible to link rot and allows a reader to go directly to a particular resource. Using permalinks also helps the library track the use of journal articles and helps students learn how to use the library.

You can find the DELCAT permalink, by clicking on the title of an item you want to include, then copying the permalink.

URL Generator for Off-Campus Access

The library has created a link generator which will help you to create permalinks that will reliably link off-campus users to our licensed content.
