The University offers several degrees relating to cognitive science. As described at the Department of Linguistics & Cognitive Science website, “The mission of the B.S. in Cognitive Science is to provide students with the basic understanding of the interdisciplinary study of cognition. Through learning about the nature of cognition in a variety of core introductory courses and a capstone course, students are given a firm basis upon which to build and focus upon the area of cognitive science that interests them most.”
The University also offers an M.A. in Linguistics & Cognitive Science, Cognitive Science track, which is appropriate both for students whose ultimate goal is to obtain a Ph.D. in a Cognitive Science discipline and for those who wish a terminal master's degree.
