Start with the DELCAT Discovery single search box (see above) to find books, journals and media held by the University of Delaware Library as well as material held by other libraries worldwide. You can then manipulate your results by using facets such as format, subject, author, or date.
With DELCAT Discovery - Advanced Search, you can search by keyword, author, title, or subject. Searching by subject can be particularly helpful to focus the results. To find applicable terms, look at the subject headings in your results. Below are a few examples for Applied Economics and Statistics:
Land Use--Environmental Aspects
Note that subject headings often have several additional qualifying subheadings, allowing for very specific description of a book's content. Be sure the item is available(green check mark) and note down the call number to find the book on the shelf. For more information about how to locate a book in the library, please watch Using A Call Number to Find a Book (video tutorial 2:50 min).
