DELCAT AI Research Assistant

The University of Delaware Library, Museums and Press is piloting the DELCAT AI Research Assistant, a new tool designed to assist your research process. We invite all UD students, faculty, and staff to be among the first to explore its capabilities and help us shape the future of academic research at UD.

What is the DELCAT AI Research Assistant?

The DELCAT AI Research Assistant accesses some of the collections owned by UD Library, Museums, and Press and can provide overviews of a variety of topics. Each summary links to real journal articles and books for further explanation. We encourage you to engage with this tool while developing a research topic or when choosing between research topics. 

How to Get Started

Getting started is easy. Simply log in to DELCAT and look for the DELCAT AI Research Assistant at the top right of the blue menu. 

Your Feedback is Crucial

This is a pilot program, and your input is essential! We need your help to understand what works well, what needs improvement, and how we can best tailor this tool to the needs of the UD community. After you’ve had a chance to test the DELCAT AI Research Assistant with your work, please take a few minutes to complete our feedback survey.

The pilot program and feedback survey will be available until the end of the fall semester, so you have plenty of time to explore and provide your thoughts. Thank you for your partnership in this exciting project!
